Tommy Burchfield, the founder of TBI, is a man consumed with compassion and vision for young people. He gave his life to Jesus at the age of five and at the age of 13 was the director of his children’s church. He is a veteran of well over twenty years in ministry. Tommy is a nationally-featured convention speaker, gifted pulpit speaker and author. He, his wife Rachel, and their three children have their headquarters and home at Country Camp. Tommy founded TBI in 1990, recognizing the need for a place that could “incubate” young people during their vulnerable years of major life choices. Tommy believes in young people. He has accepted God’s mandate to provide a school that “lays strong foundations for life.” Admired for his local church loyalty and consistent signs and wonders, he exemplifies excellence in ministry.

From the President: Rachel Burchfield
"Three major life decisions are usually made before the age of 25

1. Whom will you serve?
2. What occupation will you choose?
3. What kind of spouse will you marry?

The consequences of these three choices will affect the rest of your life. We realize that at this point of your life you are dealing with a variety of questions, obstacles, and opportunities. At TBI, you will be taught how to cooperate with God’s plan for your life. We want to encourage you to put God first in your decision. Your time with us at TBI will lay strong foundations for your life; a decision that will benefit you forever. Don’t waste your life looking for life, come to TBI!"
